DutchWareGear is a manufacturer producing innovative, lightweight, high-quality products such as hammocks and accessories to quilts and suspension hardware as well as do-it-yourself (DIY) materials for experienced hikers to create their own camping gear to meet their backpacking needs.
Dutchware founder Thom Ressler (Dutch is his trail name) began making his own minimalist gear in 2003, when thru-hiked the entire 2,200-miles of the Appalachian Trail with a hammock. During his journey, Dutch learned to take a minimalist approach to hiking gear and life in general.
When he invented the titanium Dutch clip, designed to connect webbing suspension around trees, followed by other innovative products the company was born.
Creating hardware for hammocks was where Dutch found his passion. Today his company DutchWareGear makes a range of products which all are about speed, simplicity and weight savings.
