Whether you're heading off on an international adventure or a quick backcountry getaway, the Zpacks XL Airplane Case is your ideal travel companion. Designed to protect your fully loaded 60–70L+ backpack during air travel, this lightweight yet durable case ensures your gear arrives safely and intact.

Crafted from 1.6 oz/sqyd Dyneema® Composite Fabric with taped seams, the case is waterproof, abrasion-resistant, and built to withstand the rigors of airport handling. A sturdy webbing side handle makes carrying through the terminal easy and ergonomic, while the roll-top closure features two small loops, allowing you to secure it with a TSA-approved lock or carabiner for added peace of mind.

Once you've arrived at your destination, this versatile case transforms into a pack liner, providing extra protection against rain and moisture during your hikes. It’s sized generously to accommodate backpacks with gear stored in exterior pockets.

MATERIAL: 1.6 oz/sqyd Dyneema® Composite Fabric, Zpacks use this dyneema for products that need a little extra durability.

FLAT DIMENSIONS: 67 cm wide x 104 cm tall  (26.25" x 41")

FULL/PACKED DIMENSIONS: Around 25.5 cm deep x 40.5 cm wide x 76 cm tall (10" x 16" x 30")

VOLUME: Generally fits backpacks that are 60 to 70+ Liters with items in the exterior pockets.

FEATURES

  • The XL Airplane Case adds protection when checking your backpack on to a plane. It has a sturdy webbing handle on the side for carrying your pack to the terminal. The handle is long so that you can keep your hand centered depending on height of the backpack.
  • The top of the case has a standard roll top opening, and it also has 2 small loops so that you can clip the top with a TSA approved lock, or with a carabiner for a little extra security.
  • This case also doubles as a pack liner! Just move it from the outside of your backpack to the inside once you reach your destination.
  • The dimensions are a larger than our standard pack liner so that it will fit the exterior of our backpacks with water bottles or gear in the exterior backpack pockets.
