BIG AGNES Scout 2 Platinum - is insanely lightweight yet roomy two person, single wall hybrid shelter  - a must have for gram counting backpackers and ultralight adventurers.

The shelter has few big weight savers:
uses two trekking poles for setup (not provided),has single-wall construction, is made of siliconized nylon and has no vestibules.

Scout 2 Platinum is not freestanding and does require trekking poles or Big Agnes Accessory Backpacking Poles (all sold separately). The front pole will need to be set at around 114cm (45 inch) and the rear pole will need to be set at 84cm (33 inch).

The full-body mesh vent system on this trekking-pole supported tent keeps air circulating and weather out.

We recommend using a Big Agnes footprint (sold separately), to protect the floor of the tent from mud, ground water and sharp objects like rocks and extend the life of your tent floor.
